⏲️ Asynchrony

Set Designer — 2021 | Edinburgh Fringe

⏲️ Asynchrony
The adventure of Asynchrony is set 200 years in the future, where a dormant Minecraft server has been recently rediscovered.

You are invited to explore the world of this server, guided and joined by tour guides to lead you through this world. As the adventure progresses, the Minecraft server becomes increasingly volatile and unstable due to its years of abandonment, and it becomes a race to escape this strange and changing world with the secrets of the past that you have discovered along the way.

Asynchrony is an immersive performance conducted within Minecraft which I had the pleasure of designing the sets for. The show was created as a response to lockdowns and pandemics, and was searching for a way to emulate liveness in digital spaces. Originally created for Monash Uni Student Theatre, we were able to tour the work to both the Edinburgh and Adelaide fringe.
