I am co-producing two shows at this year's Melbourne Fringe: One called I Promise This Isn’t About You (Even If It Feels Like It Is), a site-specific coming-of-age drama set in a house party bathroom, and the other is The Shore Remembers, an experimental sound installation examining our changing coastlines.
In the Round is my weeklyish newsletter featuring a diary of all the theatre I see, assorted musings on theatre and art, and selected articles to stimulate your mind. Have a read of past editions if you’re not ready to sign up yet.
I co-organise an event series called No Drama Drama Club which is a community of theatre lovers seeing & chatting about theatre in Melbourne together.
I host a podcast about news & pop culture podcast with my high school bestie and it’s called Broadly Relevant. Think pop culture vibe checks, brain-scratching deep dives, and a sufficient amount of shit-talking.
I love to be invited to see and review shows and am available to collaborate on all sorts of projects. My email’s ryan@ryanhamilton.work or you can hit the button below to get in touch with me.
I also run an independent theatre collective with bestie Georgie Wolfe. It’s called Pigeon Pigeon and we make queer experimental work from our home in Narrm (Melbourne).
Join me in paying the rent to First Nations folk, to acknowledge that—for settlers like me living in so-called-australia—we live and work on stolen land. In my case, Bunurong country.
